Eldon Everett Dysinger, 86, of Farmington Hills, Michigan passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Eldon was born in Milan, Michigan on December 7, 1937, as the youngest son to the late Adelaide (Schrader) and Floyd Dysinger. He recently celebrated 58 years of marriage to his wife, Mary (nee. Herrick) Dysinger. Eldon grew up in the community of Perry, Michigan to a farming family. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves, serving at several locations, including Selfridge Air Force Base (now Air National Guard Base) in Mt Clemens, Michigan. After earning his associate degree from DeVry University in 1962, he began working his lifelong career at IBM as a Systems Engineer. He officially retired in 1992 after serving over 30 years with IBM. He spent several of his early retirement years teaching computer programming to aspiring students at Oakland Community College. Eldon enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, camping and researching his family's genealogy. He was an avid DIY’er and mastered the majority of home repairs. He participated greatly in his children’s lives by coaching their Little League teams, volunteering as PTA president and Treasurer of Band Boosters at their schools. His witty sense of humor always included the usual 'Dad jokes'. Eldon was the beloved husband of Mary, father of Julie Dysinger, Jennifer (late Bruce) Mills, and the late Eric (Anne) Dysinger, grandfather of Michael Dysinger and Sophie Dysinger, brother of the late Kennard (Gae Ann) Dysinger and late Duane (Loyola) Dysinger. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Memorial Visitation for Mr. Dysinger will be held Saturday, November 30th, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of his Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills.
