Vanessa Aldstadt

Vanessa Vera Aldstadt, age 24 of Northville, MI., passed away September 10, 2025. She was born June 14, 2001 to Eric and Vera (Juncaj) Aldstadt at Providence Park Hospital in Southfield, MI. and resided primarily in Novi and and Northville, MI.

Vanessa attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School, Farmington Hills, MI., Concordia International School, Shanghai, China, and graduated from Mercy High School, Farmington Hills, in 2019. She went on to earn two degrees (Criminal Justice and Psychology) and graduated from Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH. in 2023.

Vanessa was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and attended Our Lady of Albanians where she was Baptized and Confirmed.

Vanessa had the gift of music/voice. As a young girl she always sang around the house, then in elementary school and middle school at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, she was a Cantor – she lead the congregation in singing hymns, then moved to Shanghai, China where she continued in high school musical play performances and in choir. She also travelled with AMIS choir to Berlin, Abu Dhabi, and locations across China. She returned home to Michigan prior to her senior year of high school and she sang in the Mercyaires, the “top-tier show choir” at Mercy High School. After high school, she attended Xavier University, a Jesuit university in Cincinnati, where she earned a scholarship for voice and sang in the university choir. She earned degrees in both Criminal Justice and in Psychology. She interned with the Novi Police Dept and at the Youth Correctional facility in Cincinnati. She lived a career of helping and guiding people. She worked as a Behavioral Health Care Coordinator in Cincinnati at Lindner Center of Hope prior to her current position as Case Manager at Henry Ford Hospital in Novi.

Vanessa is survived by her father Eric John Aldstadt, mother Vera (Juncaj) Aldstadt, brothers Nicholas Robert Aldstadt, John David Aldstadt, half-brothers Eric John Aldstadt II, David Francis Aldstadt, and grandmother Gloria Joy Aldstadt. Vanessa is preceded in death by her grandfather John David Aldstadt, grandfather Nika Juncaj, and grandmother Aga Juncaj. Vanessa will also be remembered and loved by her uncles, aunts, cousins, coworkers, and friends. 

Visitation for Vanessa will be held on Thursday, September 18th, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with evening prayers, at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. She will lie in state on Friday, September 19th, at 9:30 a.m., until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Albanians Catholic Church, 29350 Lahser Rd., Southfield. Following the Mass, Vanessa will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre, 25800 W 10 Mile Rd. Southfield.
