Matthew K. Manzella, Licensed Funeral Director
Matthew Manzella knows how it feels to be on both sides of the funeral arrangement table. Before joining the McCabe team, he and his family sought the services of a funeral home at one of the most difficult times of their lives. When the funeral director helped Matthew's family through their time of need, Matthew realized how truly amazing the experience could be. After becoming a licensed funeral director, Matthew naturally found his way to the McCabe Funeral Home.
Matthew grew up in the small farming community of Armada, Michigan, as the youngest of the five children of Salvatore and Janice. He describes his family as Sicilian, "which is like Italian, but crazier." They are close-knit, and still gather at their 91 year old grandmother's home every Sunday evening.
Like many young people, Matthew loves video games, running, and riding his motorcycle. He hopes to be able to compete in a half-marathon this fall. Right now, most of his spare time is occupied with preparations for his June wedding to Rebecca McDonald. Rebecca is also a funeral director and the couple actually met at a funeral home.
Once he began helping people with their funeral needs, Matthew realized what a special calling he had. He loves what he does and enjoys every aspect of his career. It is his desire to fulfill every request that is put to him. If the constraints of time and technology prevent fulfillment, Matthew does everything in his power to come up with a solution that will provide the family with the best possible experience.
