Elsie Mueller, Funeral Director Apprentice

It is almost always difficult life experiences that draw an individual into the funeral industry.  For Elsie Mueller, this is definitely the case.  By the young age of 22, Elsie had already experienced the loss of her grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, and most significantly, her father.  To know loss at such a young age was very impacting for Elsie.  Through each loss, and the grief that followed, Elsie discovered and understood the priceless importance and enormous responsibility of a well-educated and compassionate funeral home.  In her own words, she shares that "Helping families come together to remember and honor their loved one's legacy has been a natural progression in my life's calling."

Because of this, when it came time to pursue her life's career, Elsie turned to Wayne State and their Mortuary Science Program.  After graduation, she searched for just the right funeral home for which to dedicate herself.  As it turned out, McCabe Funeral Home found her instead, and Elsie's journey in the funeral service industry began.  Elsie believes the excellence and dedication to their families, community, and education is something individuals can only find here at McCabe Funeral Home.

As McCabe's newest employee, Elsie realizes the impact and legacy our loved ones leave behind.  She is deeply dedicated to the belief that through education, experience, and understanding, every individual deserves dignity and final recognition.  Because of this, it is her highest priority to bring to fruition the needs of every family, so they, too, can honor the lives of their loved ones the very way they deserve.
